How to request information from OFSDS

The Right to Information Act, 2005 empowers every citizen of India to seek information from a public authority. As an autonomous society under the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department, OFSDS designates officers to receive and process RTI applications. Procedure

How to file an RTI application

1

Identify the right officer

Pick the PIO or APIO whose project area matches your query (see cards above).

Write your application

State your name, address, the information sought and the relevant period. Keep it specific.

3

Pay the ₹10 fee

Via demand draft, Indian Postal Order, or court-fee stamp made in favour of OFSDS. BPL applicants are exempt.

4

Submit & track

Send by post or email to the designated officer. You will receive a response within 30 days.
